Why do I feel like I’m vibrating sometimes when I’m half-asleep?

Alex H Asked: Why do I feel like I’m vibrating sometimes when I’m half-asleep?

Sometimes, when I'm in the stage between awake and asleep (usually when I've just woken up and I'm kinda going back to sleep), I feel this vibration of sorts inside my body. It's subtle at first, but if I let it it gets stronger and louder (and yes, I can kinda hear it). What is this? Is this normal? I've looked this up on Google but all I could really find was stuff about astral projection and crap like that. I don't believe in astral projection, but I've tried lucid dreaming a number of times (without much success, I might add). Anybody know what this is? I'm assuming it's some sort of tactile/audio hallucination brought on by a hypnogogic state. Is there some sort of medical term for it or something?

How careless, you really must remember to turn off your vibrator when you've ***, don't just fall asleep or, as you've found, you'll keep being woken up by orgasm after orgasm. There again, sounds good to me!!!

I get the very same thing, always when I'm in a light sleep, somewhere between sleep and being awake, if that makes sense. I also get very lucid dreams at the same time and they can very very disturbing. An old Aunt told me, when I was describing it, that it's nothing to worry about its just the 'old hag'. Look it up on the internet, very interesting

Best of luck.
P.S a little tip. Try not to sleep during the day and always go to bed tired. If I 'cat nap' during the day the sensation always happens that night in bed.
