Tom Asked: What does my dream involving my gums mean? (I will select best answer)?
Hey, this is a serious question so great answers will be appreciated.
I had a dream that all of a sudden my top gums were becoming really swollen. Before this, in my dream I was making out with a beautiful girl gently (I won't detail that part.) But anyways my gums are seriously really swollen. So I decide to look in the mirror because it is becoming obnoxious, not because it was too painful.. It's then that I notice a huge, deep hole in my gums (probably the width of a dime, depth unknown.) I for some reason think that a type of bug must have buried itself in me. So I'm really disgusted, but I remain calm and tell my friends I need to go to the hospital. They graciously take me, but then I ask them in the car, "Guys, am I dreaming?" (I'm into lucid dreaming.) And my gums instantly turn unswollen, but there's an excess of gum now in my mouth. They ask me then with grins on their face and sarcastically, "Well are you in a dream?"I for some reason say I guess not BECAUSE my friends completely threw me off!! Never have dream characters reacted like that to my question!! They always reveal to me that I'm in their dream world, but this time they were really sly about it. So instead of becoming lucid, I just wake up out of shock and confusion.
So what does a dream involving gums mean? I did have on my mind something that was bothering that I do need to resolve, if that somehow relates. Please note that I never saw my teeth, so my teeth are not an issue. I also take extreme care of my mouth, and have never had a cavity.

This sounds similar to the common dreams people have about losing their teeth or having missing teeth.It reflects a concern about your appearance and how you are perceived in public.Had you recognized in the dream that it WAS a dream, then you would have been lucid dreaming.
You need to start expressing yourself emotionally (the gums). the question "well are you in a dream" is your subconscious directly speaking to you. it's indicating that you are an intellingent person and you may not be applying yourself in an area of your life as much as you could be. Im sensing to that you are fearful or intimidated by someone on a regular basis. your mind is tired of you giving in to them and wants you to stand up for yourself a little more as the fear that you have will not come to fruition. good luck
