M Asked: Was what I felt last night Astral Projection?
Last night at around 1:30 AM I couldn't sleep at all, so I sat in bed thinking and was very relaxed. Then suddenly I felt a strong jolt of vibrations throughout my entire body, opened my eyes, and tried to move but I couldn't. I felt lightheaded and could hear crackling and popping.
Then, with the vibrations still going strong, it felt like I was literally floating in the air and going through the blanket, but I couldn't really tell or see since it was so dark. After a few minutes it started slipping away, but then I tried pulling up with my hands and the vibrations got stronger. Then, it was like I snapped back into my body and the vibrations began fading away.
The sleep paralysis wore off after a few seconds, and I was still wide awake. This is my first time ever astral projecting/sleep paralysis. I tried doing it a few summers ago but it failed, this just came suddenly and unexpectedly. It was so creepy but at the same time it felt serene…
It felt too vivid to be a dream. I had a lot of melatonin because I couldn't sleep, but I honestly don't think it caused an illusion. Does it sound real, is this what people usually experience when APing or what? Also, how can I experience it again and go farther?

You were having sleep paralysis … It's very common, but luckily you have the type of sleep paralysis where you hallucinate as well,I have it too..google it
Any sleeping aid will make you have dreams..usually "weird or crazy" ones. When I was a kid Iused to have that "vibration" feeling and would "fly " down our stairway . (I was upstairs.) I HATED It! I never told anyone..not even my parents. Since I've been on this site I've wondered if it was astral travel.
No it wasent u may hav had a dream. Astral projection isn't like that at all. And there are no books even thoe people write about it that are real.
