Is this sleepwalking or insomnia or what?

Asked: Is this sleepwalking or insomnia or what?

Sometimes I fall asleep and have very lucid dreams. In more than one occasion I have woken up in the middle of a dream to find that I was acting out the dream (one example is when I dreamt slenderman was looking through the window and I stood upand went outside (don't ask why, I was dreaming). Irealized my stupidity of going outside and ran back into my room and slammed the door. The sound woke me up, and I was standing right next to he door I had slammed in my dream.) Other times, I sleep about two or three hours and then wake up with a start and am unable to fall asleep again so I end up walking around outside at 3:00 am. Last night I was on my bed with my eyes open for five hours but I was in a dream-like trance. I could see everything and moved around like I was awake. According to my mom, my eyes followed her and responded accordingly as if I was awake. I finally became concious that I was awake and managed to fall asleep for three hours brfore waking up. I don't feel tired the next day, even if I don't sleep the next night either. I have slept five hours spreadthroughout three days without feeling tired or sleeping a lot after that period. Does anyone know what this is and what it can be caused by?

Am I Dreaming with Spirit Guides?

Asked: Am I Dreaming with Spirit Guides?

Keep in mind, I've lucid dreams, jumped different realms, spoken to spirit guides about situations occurring in this world within the dreams, in those cases I am speaking with two guides in a dark somewhat black realm, I know it's a man in front of me and on my right side towards him there is a female. She doesn't speak much but the man does. Both are someone short, brown skin color… we've came across each other at least 3 times in my lifetime, last time was mid December. When we speak I always point to my right side and with my peripheral vision I can see the outline of my eyes and the inside is somewhat transparent with opacity of at least 70% and I can see shadowy figures moving but the figures are brown. They speak to me and I knot in acknowledgement than respond back. Once we are done, I instantly say ok it's time to wake up.

As the mind that I am, I understand that this world we live in is actually our dream state within our dream while we "dream" well that's actually our reality, or the different realms we are apart of. The meanings that arrive within our "dreams" are the meanings that we must use within this world, use to greatly fulfilled our nature for being in this world. Fulfill in a positive enlightened way that is.

May someone please help me understand who are these beings I speak to within my "dream."

I need a good twist ending to my story!?

Asked: I need a good twist ending to my story!?

I've written a plot outline for a new story which I'm either going to turn into a novel or a film, but for months I haven't got any further than this:

"A boy (roughly 13 to begin with), a keen comic book writer, has had lucid dreams ever since he could remember. His sister died in an accident when he was a toddler and it has always bothered him. As he grows older (to about 17), his dreams become more vivid. He begins to see a girl in his dreams who he doesn't recognise but immediately senses a strong connection with. He deduces that this is in fact a projection of his sister. In his dreams he builds a strong relationship with the girl which he later records in his comics. He sees this girl in real life…"

I want a twist ending along the theme of questioning reality. I want to link everything together – the comics, the dreams, the sister, and the girl.
I've had a few ideas but I'm not completely happy with them and they still don't really give me an ending:

1. The focus point of the story shifts from the boy to the girl so that, towards the end, the girl is the main character.
2. He meets this girl and she has been having similar dreams about him.

I want a twist ending which is unpredictable and original, yet still links in with the themes and previous events. I'd be really grateful if people could help.

Am I the only one who has ever had a lucid dream like this?

Asked: Am I the only one who has ever had a lucid dream like this?

I have recently started lucid dreaming and I had one hell of a dream. My dream was an entire lifetime. I'm not sure how my mind did it, but it was a lot like Inception wher a huge amount of time passed by.

My dream was ending when I was in my late 80s, dying with my children right by my side. I thought about all the accomplishments I had achieved in my dream lifetime (having fun, flying, falling in love, having a family) only to be woken up by my alarm clock to go to the gym at 5:30 in the morning. Immediately going back to being only 22 is so strange after that.

My brain didn't actually make me experience 80+ years of consciousness, but it really felt like a lifetime to me. Has this ever happened to you before?

Can you astral project from sleep paralysis?

Asked: Can you astral project from sleep paralysis?

I used to have frequent "sleep paralysis" nightmares, usually involving a negative presence telling me it was the reason I couldn't move. I no longer have these nightmares, but in reading about astral projection, I noticed that there are some similarities.

The experience was very realistic (much more than any other dream I have had, including lucid dreams, which I do have experience with) and I was exactly where my body should have been. I did not leave my body, but the room and entities in the room seemed very realistic and I wonder if I could have "left" my body if I'd thought to do it.

I am a very scientifically-minded, skeptical person, but also an artist, so I will keep an open mind to any and all suggestions. Thank you.

If I learn how to have lucid dreams, could my time traveling fantasies be fulfilled?

Asked: If I learn how to have lucid dreams, could my time traveling fantasies be fulfilled?

I have always been fascinated with the past and wanted to go back in time and experience it. Obviously, time machines do not exist…yet. Does lucid dreaming help form the dream or just help the person control the dream?

How to get over a guy I can’t have?

Asked: How to get over a guy I can’t have?

I like my best friend's older brother…bad idea. And he is 4 years my senior (I'm 14..). I don't know if he likes me, I'm 99% sure he doesn't..but it's that 1% that gives me hope. Hope I don't want! Why break my own heart on him..I can't have him, never will.. And don't say stay away from him..that's nearly impossible. I sleep over their house quite a bit and me & his sister are on the same team. He's so sweet, and funny, and he plays guitar (makes me melt..). Ugh :/ I even have lucid dreams about him >.< I just want to shut this off! Help? Thanks!!

Nightmares involving a witch?

Asked: Nightmares involving a witch?

So Im going through alcohol withdrawal, and get very real and lucid dreams/nightmares, the ones with a witch scare me the most, I've had dreams telling me the witch is coming and had dreams where they've attacked me too, in which I wake up in a freight. I've looked up the meaning of a witch in a dream and it says something to do with demeaning women? Is this true? What else could it mean? I've read other things about alcoholics going through this and they say the nightmares play on there darkest fears. Any help will be appreciated.

Divine presence on lucid dream or OoBE..?

Asked: Divine presence on lucid dream or OoBE..?

Hello there, well lately for a year or so I've been experiencing different kind of LDs either by purpose or accidentaly, I tryed to get an oobe or astral project without achieving it not even once, tho sometimes I oobe from LDs.

So before 2 weeks or so I was listening some binaural beats before go to sleep and then by that night I had like 2 differnet lucid dreams and then I got a false awakening and after that I got another false awakening I was really scared like i was never going to wake up, so I called for help from God or something, I dont really remember exactly, and the next moment I heard something like a chanting and then I felt a precence with a great light in my room and someone touched my hand and made me wake up, I felt so relief and so peaceful by the next seconds but really scared at the same time,
Anyone else would say that it may was an angel or even a spirit guide or something from an astral world? I don't really know, never tried anything at all since then.. what you guys say..

( I'm not a true believer of the supernatural, I just think the oobes are just some lucid dreams just from a different prespective.)

How to prevent Lucid Dreaming from becoming boring and routine?

Asked: How to prevent Lucid Dreaming from becoming boring and routine?

I have had two lucid dreams so far, one was ages ago and I was being chased by these pirates (weird, I know) and I realised I was dreaming so I tried to wake myself up to get away from the pirates. icon razz How to prevent Lucid Dreaming from becoming boring and routine?
The other one was last night, when I was actually trying to make myself have a lucid dream. It was amazing, I was teleporting myself everywhere and it was so cool.
I'd like to get 'better' at lucid dreaming but I read somewhere that if you do it too often it gets boring and routine, and at the moment I love having really random dreams, even if they're not lucid, and I don't want to lose that randomness.
Any tips for getting better but keeping it fun? Other than just not doing it too often?

Thanks icon smile How to prevent Lucid Dreaming from becoming boring and routine?

OBE/out of body experience, any gestures or movements you can suggest?

Asked: OBE/out of body experience, any gestures or movements you can suggest?

Doing OBE's has a lot of times my way to inducing lucid dreams, what I'm doing is I attempt to fall down beside the bed then my body just fells down and when I stood up I'm in the dream scene, but one time I did this and unusual thing happened, instead of falling down and the floor and waking to the dream, I just fell for minutes into this abyss, what happened? then I got nervous that something went wrong. I guess I need a new OBE movement, I think its crazy falling down the floor, I didn't expect'd I'd be falling for long. Does anyone know any OBE where it I'm might not get into something terrible? or Techniques? somewhat Tips to my method?

Sleep paralysis and OBE/Astral Projection…Experiences and Advice?

Asked: Sleep paralysis and OBE/Astral Projection…Experiences and Advice?

I periodically get a cases of sleep paralysis, which at first was a very frustrating and frightening occurrence. I have recently began controlling this through recognizing it and subsequently making myself relax.
Twice now I have been able to enter into lucid dreams, which I usually awaken from because of the excitement from controlling my dream.
And again twice, on two separate occasions, I have had the luck of trying to achieve an OBE (out of body experience). Once, as I was concentrating on leaving my body, I saw a very bright light. It was nothing similar to experiences that people claim when having a near death experience. (Imagine looking at the sun with your eyes closed, yet without the redness of the light shining through the eyelids. This is the best way I can describe it). The second time, it felt as if I came spiraling out of my right eye. I could see my bedroom in its full waking form, but then my eyes felt as if they were starting to open, and it ended just as abruptly as it had began.

So here is my question:
With the first experience, was I moving close to an OBE? Is that how it can start? Did I not do something, or did I do something wrong? Any advice for my next attempt during an onset of sleep paralysis? What was the bright light that I was witnessing.
Also, considering the second time. I know it may have been a dream, but does that relate to anyone else's experience? And why my right eye? Is there a way to strengthen my "skills" for an OBE?

Any advice and shared experiences is greatly welcome. I have done extensive research, but nothing seems to quench the thirst of my questions and curiosity. THANK YOU ahead of time!
