Ciara Oro Asked: Is astral projection a sin?
ive been practicing meditation. breathing techniques and focussing on peace. but ive been researching astral projection, or inducing out of body experiences. im wondering if it's something i'd have to go to confession for if i did. i pray for protection from my angel before meditating every night though. please let me know, if your catholic that is
moot since you cannot do it in this life…dont waste our time..TIRH
No, it's just nonsense.
Peace comes from God.Angels are only messengers.God is stronger than angels.Ask Him directly.
Meditate on God's law, like King David did in Psalm 1.
yes. not only is it a sin, but you are opening yourself up to demonic deception since you are messing about in the supernatural world of the spirit and demons lurk there to deceive people into thinking they are angels or will protect them, when they actually intend you harm. the bible says that satan is able to make his demon spirits appear as angels of light, so you don't want to mess about with that stuff. it is what the bible calls necromancy and witchcraft.
why make your question only for catholics? catholosism is only one of the many true ways of looking at god…its too bad it takes the open mindedness of christianity and makes it closeminded.
astral projection is not a sin. are you doing something bad during it??? is day dreaming or even dreaming a sin? why would it be. dont be so sensitive to open your mind to things outside of your church. theres a lot more sinless things that exist that do not involve a church. religion needs to end. there needs to be a single religion of no religion. just common sense in "grasping" the concept of god and what it is/does
Some say we all do it every night but don't have a conscious memory of it upon awakening.Others say it occurs when we dream.Still others have done it without trying, without any intention of leaving their body. (I have once, and it scared me).
It all depends on your intention I think. Why are you trying to AP?What are you hoping to accomplish? How do you feel when you try; does your conscience convict you that it might be wrong?
It is a venal sin.Say 10 prayers to St Ignatius Loyola
Sorry Fireball you are wrong because it can be done but with possible dire consequences; there are baneful animus spirits waiting for those who delve into such nonsense.
Remember what you allow yourself to think, see, hear, say and do literally set into motion Almighty Gods creative powers that form the matrix of lifes reality you find yourself now walking; so knowing this practice each day focusing your whole attention on your movements whether thoughts, sight, sounds, words or deeds, doing that which is good, positive and constructive.
"A man can no more diminish God's glory or His Son Jesus by refusing to worship them than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell."
If you do not know Jesus the Christ of Nazareth, the Messiah, as your personal savior yet believe He is Lord, was born of the Virgin Mary, died for your sins, arose from the dead the third day and is now at the right hand of Almighty God, then if so lead say this simple pray to be saved and have eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
Hear Oh Israel the Lord our God is one Lord and blessed is the Glory of the Lord from His place; Precious Jesus the Christ of Nazareth please forgive me my sins and come into my heart and life forever Amen.
If you are sincere in this prayer then know for certain that you are saved and if you need help on your Christian walk email me back.
No, none of what you are doing is sinful. It's an ages old technique of prayer and contemplation. Astral projection is often just a side effect. In any case it is not a sin. It was never mentioned in the Bible or by Jesus.
Yes, it is a sin to believe in fantasy, nonsense or hippie stupidity.
