Asked: How do i lucid dream?
I dream almost every night and i remember most of them. I have only managed to lucid dream once and i flew over my suburb. It as amazing. I would really like to do it again. In all my dreams i find it hard to know im dreaming since they seem real. What are some tips to help me control my dreams. Any advise will be deeply appreciated. Thanks
Here are some tips to help improve your chances of lucid dreaming:
-Get into the habit of doing reality checks in day time simply by asking yourself if you are dreaming (Really ask yourself). You should look at your hands often. Always read some type of text or read the time. (In dreams text is usually distorted or acts funny).
If you do these through the day, eventually you will do these reality checks in your dreams, you will notice that something isn't right, you'll find out your dreaming and sucsessfully become lucid.
Another way to become lucid during dreams is to check for dreamsigns. I recommend (all lucid dreamers recommend) keeping a dream journal because you in bed so when you wake up after a dream your memory will be fresh and you can record your dream. Once you've had a couple of dreams you should take a look in your diary and find patterns or events that happen frequently in your dreams.
Whenever you have a dream you will notice a dreamsign and become lucid (My dreamsign is me being lifted up into the air).
Keep practicing these and you'll be suprised how easy you can lucid dream.
One last tip, before you go to sleep just tell yourself a simple mantra such as, "I will lucid dream" or "I will become lucid".
