Waffles Asked: A simple test of abilities?
I fairly often hear people claim that they have some special powers or abilities, or something along those lines. Sometimes it's things like astral projection, the ability to talk to ghosts, magic, or special information from a god.
I have a simple test for you all.
Place a playing card face up on a table in one room of your house without looking at it.
Go into another room where you cannot see the card. Then, contact God, or the Ghosts, and ask what the card is. Or astral project / cast a spell over to that room and take a look for yourself what the card is.
If you are successfully able to do this, the James Randi Foundation has a prize that you could win. 1000000 dollars.
If you are unable to do this, you know that your imagined powers are just that: Imagined.
My question is, now, having an ability to test your supposed powers, I wonder how many of you will do so? And I wonder how many of you will not do so, but still remain convinced that you have those powers?

the people I know who have experienced psychic phenomena don't have control over it like a machine. They just get little bits and pieces of things that often don't even have any significance. It's kind of like picking up radio conversation in your fillings sort of thing. I don't understand why so many people see it as an either/or situation.
